Examining Examinations...

I’m formally done with Test2s for this semester today. I have since a long time not had that absolutely liberated feeling which was once an integral part of school life. The joy of coming out of the last exam, finally being able to carry out all your plans (carefully carved out the previous night while studying for the last exam); (eventually realizing later that you don’t feel doing any of them anymore) is something entirely unique to school life.

Ideally, continuous evaluation is the better method of education. But I don’t like it this way. Tests and exams are not an event anymore. They’re all over the place! They’re just little barricades that must be crossed (or cracked…whichever way you see it).

Institute people /parents call it lack of sincerity. I call it Immunity. Beyond a certain point, you stop worrying so much about the tests. They’re just going to keep coming. Instead, we’ve devised a method that is more foolproof. You enjoy all the time! Of course you study all the time as well! It’s not that bad anymore! I’ve learnt the Bitsian way out!

I haven’t slept well in the last two days; I’ve had a rather long day too. I still don’t feel sleepy! No theories to this one..  . I’m just going to try and sleep anyway…

how true is that, the night after the last exam is so full of energy at times i wonder why it cudnt be before the exam, but well that is the law and that is something that is just followed, and i really like the way u use the word immunity so apt. This post really touches a nerve. lovely.
